Adulttoymegastore wins YES Alumni Company of the Year award 2022
Adulttoymegastore, New Zealand’s largest online adult retailer, won Company of the Year award at the 2022 YES Alumni Awards held in Auckland, New Zealand on Thursday 14 July 2022.
The YES Alumni Awards started in 2021 and celebrate the achievements of alumni of the Young Enterprise Scheme (YES), which is an experiential programme where secondary students set up and run businesses.Adulttoymegastore, which was founded by Nicola Relph who is a YES alumnus, was a finalist alongside popular investment platform Sharesies, and networking platform Girlboss.
Nicola said winning the Company of the Year award is a testament to the ever-increasing acceptance of sex toys and sexual wellness in the business world. “Being recognised in mainstream awards is truly humbling, but for us it’s about so much more than the awards themselves. This award represents the normalisation of sex toys and their acceptance in the business world, and that’s the greatest win of all,” she explained.
“Sexual health and wellness are just as important as our physical and mental health. No matter who you are, who you love, or how you like to be loved, you deserve to have a happy, healthy and fulfilling sex life – whatever that looks like for you. Adulttoymegastore was also recently a finalist at the Wellington Gold Awards, which recognise excellence in business in the region. Last year Adulttoymegastore became the first adult retailer in New Zealand to win a Wellington Gold Award, winning the Supporting Gold category which recognises the best Wellington infrastructure and professional services providers.In 2019, Adulttoymegastore won the Hottest Use of Data award at the Gem Retail Hotlist Awards and the OmniChannel Award at the Retail NZ Awards. In 2018 the business won the people’s choice award for the Hottest Ecommerce Experience at the Retail Hotlist Awards.
