Lovehoney reveals how to engage last minute shoppers this Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is nearly upon us, and whilst some customers are fully prepared and ready to spend the big day with their special someone, we all know others who will leave it until the very last minute before running into stores this week looking for gifts and treats for their partners.

To help you have the best conversations possible with these ‘panic buyers’ Jade Bawa, Sales Executive at Lovehoney B2B, shares her top tips that will help you guide customers to the perfect Valentines products for them – and their partner.

  • Time is of the essence – Last minute shoppers are time poor and want to complete their purchase ASAP. Allow them to browse, shop and pay with ease by knowing in advance where your hero products are in store so you can direct them easily to the perfect gift for their special someone
  • Promote multi-product kits which give customers multiple products in one easy purchase and are perfect for all experience levels. Also, use this opportunity to upsell smaller products at checkout, giving panic buyers an easy way to bulk out their gifts further.
  • Up the customer service – Last minute shoppers don’t just want to be served quickly, they want to be taken care of. The best way to do this is to engage your employees in identifying a panicked buyer so they can navigate them around the store quickly and easily. Leave customers feeling happy and worry free and you’ll be better placed to lock down the sale.
