Maia Toys has partnered with the feminist, cannabis activist community at Tokeativity on upcoming non-profit projects to benefit BIPOC and the LGBTQIA+ community.
Maia Toys will be donating a portion of sales from the company’s JESSI 420 bullet vibrators to Tokeativity. Proceeds will be distributed to Tokeativity to sponsor membership costs for BIPOC members and support the Last Prisoners Project, a Tokeativity non-profit partner.
Tokeativity is The Global Feminist Community for Active Cannabis Culture. This online community of cannabis consumers and businesses that believe in cannabis normalization, equity and empowerment. They work as a collective to modernize consumption culture through interactive experiences. Their online events and marketing campaigns work to create radical, positive change around the world.
Tokeativity has supported many non-profit organizations since their inception, including Planned Parenthood, the NAACP, the ACLU, The Last Prisoner Project, Supernova Women and National Bail Out with regular donations.
Purchases of the JESSI 420, a 10-function, ultra powerful, USB-rechargeable bullet vibrator, will contribute a percentage of sales to Tokeativity. Inside each box, consumers will find a pamphlet with information on Tokeativity and the Last Prisoners Project and a Tokeativity logo sticker. Tokeativity will also include a special logo sticker for the exterior packaging, prompting consumers to take a closer look.
“Tokeativity is a good match for Maia Toys because they are advocates for the same ethics we hold at Maia, like human rights as well as providing space for people to be comfortable without judgements,” says Zach Smith, Maia Toys sales and marketing executive. “Their mixture of philanthropic work as well as member interactions is a perfect fit. We plan to work more with Tokeativity in the future, doing things such as holding panels to open up conversations about cannabis and sex.”
Tokeativity was founded by Lisa Snyder and Samantha Montanaro in 2016 in Portland, Oregon. The company has been featured in Forbes, High Times, Rolling Stone, Condé Nast, Yahoo!, Leafly, Dope Magazine, and The Guardian. They have a global network of 55,000 passionate feminists who care deeply about cannabis normalization and living an active lifestyle.
Lisa Snyder, Co-Founder of Tokeativity says, “we are excited to support the normalization of cannabis, celebrate sexuality with our Maia partnership, and to feature non profits we are passionate about supporting through this effort!”
In partnership with Tokeativity, Maia Toys has chosen to additionally donate to the Last Prisoner Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to cannabis-related criminal justice reform.
“The opportunity that Tokeativity is giving us as an adult company to come in to their community and help educate as well as integrate sex into the cannabis community is absolutely terrific,” said Smith. “We are so happy that we got this chance to help give back in the way that we know how, and we hope that our partnership will strengthen the ties between the two industries.”
