Redefining Pleasure in Style: TENGA and RAY CHU Reunite for a Bold London Fashion Week 2025 Showcase
Pleasure takes centre stage as Japanese pleasure item pioneer TENGA and fashion visionary RAY CHU reunite to fuse intimacy with style at London Fashion Week 2025. Following their acclaimed 2023 debut collaboration, the pair are once again challenging conventions with a bold collection unveiled on September 20th.
A Provocative Partnership with a Purpose
In 2023, the first RAY CHU × TENGA collaboration made headlines worldwide, blending fashion and pleasure culture in a daring statement of self-expression. This year, they return with an even stronger narrative: pleasure is not taboo, it’s a fundamental part of modern lifestyle and design.
TENGA, with over 162 million products sold in 73 countries, has long pursued one mission: to bring pleasure to the forefront of everyday life. Far from being a niche ‘sex toy’ label, TENGA has shaped the industry by creating elegant, accessible, and design-forward pleasure items that belong as much in conversation as on the shelves of mainstream culture.
Runway Reveal and Exclusive After-Party
The collaboration will premiere on the catwalk during London Fashion Week for the Spring/Summer 2025 collection, with designs inspired by TENGA’s iconic products and Ray Chu’s signature aesthetic: sleek, bold, and unapologetically intimate.
To mark the occasion, an exclusive RAY CHU × TENGA After-Party will be held at The Shoreditch Bar, featuring a “Spill the T” (TENGA) Signature Cocktail: a spicy, sexy, summer-inspired drink co-created by RAY CHU, TENGA, and the venue’s mixologist, as well as distinctive event branding and playful details throughout the venue to extend the runway’s energy into the night.
Ray Chu explains: “This season, we introduce the slogan ‘Spill the T’ as the core of our collaboration. The phrase carries a playful double meaning: ‘T’ as truth, story, and ‘tea, while also referencing our collaborator, TENGA. The phrase ‘spill the T’ has deep roots in drag culture and LGBTQ+ communities dating back to the early 1990s, where ‘T’ stood for truth. This resonates strongly with our philosophy: celebrating authenticity, telling our stories unapologetically, and embracing who we truly are. Through this collaboration, we continue to merge culture, fashion, and inclusivity into vibrant, accessible designs.
Breaking Boundaries: Fashion, Pleasure, and Culture
This renewed collaboration builds on the dialogue started in 2023: how can pleasure brands exist as part of modern culture, not hidden, but celebrated? With its bold partnerships, iconic products, and design-first approach, TENGA continues to push boundaries far beyond the bedroom.
Koichi Matsumoto, President and Creator of TENGA, says: “Since its founding 20 years ago, TENGA has pursued the mission of ‘bringing sexuality to the forefront of society and making it enjoyable for everyone, aiming to enrich people’s sexual lives and, in turn, their overall happiness through our products. We are truly honored to once again collaborate with Ray Chu following our first partnership in 2023. TENGA products are valued not only for their functionality but also for their unique designs and shapes. With this new collection, we anticipate that its aesthetic beauty will be expressed through fashion, conveying a new passion.
