Healing power of pleasure: Womanizer leads successful campaign for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Acclaimed Sexuality Educator and breast cancer survivor Ericka Hart joined forces with Womanizer, the global leader in sexual wellness products, to lead a groundbreaking campaign during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This collaboration aims to shed light on the often-overlooked topic of sexual wellbeing and pleasure during and after breast cancer treatment.

Breast cancer is the most prevalent cancer in female-bodied individuals. While survival rates in high- income countries are encouraging, survivors often have to live with long-lasting physical and psychological impacts. Many report low sexual satisfaction or struggle with sexual dysfunction following their diagnosis and treatment. However, research aimed at understanding the biopsychosocial aspects of sexual dysfunctions in breast cancer patients is limited, hindering treatment options for those affected.

Partnering with Womanizer means spreading the message about the power of pleasure as an effective physical and emotional aid during and after breast cancer”, explains Ericka Hart.

I am waiting for the day that I see a breast cancer survivor in a sex scene showing their double mastectomy scars proudly.”

Womanizer supported a research group at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin with a generous donation for investigating sexual well-being and dysfunctions in breast cancer survivors. The ongoing study aims to understand the psychological and physiological factors impacting sexual response in breast cancer survivors using a Womanizer toy, providing valuable insights that could lead to accessible interventions and treatment options tailored to this population. The ongoing study is being conducted within the Womanizer Pleasure Fund, an initiative aimed at closing the gender health gap and promoting research into female sexual health.

As a part of this campaign, Womanizer is giving away 2000 Womanizer Premium Eco’s during the month of October to individuals navigating breast cancer. Inspired by Ericka Hart’s powerful message and Charité Medical University’s encouraging findings, Womanizer is promoting masturbation as an alternative treatment to enhance libido and sexual well-being, offering an empowering path to pleasure, confidence, and embodiment. Additionally, Womanizer has designed a beautiful Boob Necklace, available as a gift with purchase on womanizer.com, to further support this initiative.
