Desire by Swiss Navy celebrates International Women’s Day

M.D. Science Lab, makers of Swiss Navy products, is recognizing International Women’s Days’ intent of celebrating cultural, economic, and social achievements of women by giving a nod to their own female-centric collection, Desire by Swiss Navy.

Celebrated annually on March 8, International Women’s Day offers an opportunity to reflect on progress made, to call for change, and to celebrate acts of determination by everyday women. The observance began in New York City on March 8, 1857, when female textile workers marched in protest of unfair working conditions and unequal rights for women, and has blossomed into a global event.

“International Women’s Day means a lot to me because I’ve always been passionate about creating products made specifically for the female body and I’m very proud that I was able to make this personal dream come to life last year with the release of our Desire by Swiss Navy collection,” said Briana Watkins, M.D. Science’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “For me, I drew on my commitment and inspiration to build a line of products developed by women, for women—all uniquely supporting female intimate wellness and sexual health. Watkins is hoping that this year International Women’s Day can serve as a reminder for women to make their intimate health a priority.

“This year’s International Women’s Day theme is breaking the bias to imagine women’s equality,” said Watkins. “This means having intimate products that recognize not all bodies are the same and creating products for different pH levels or microbiomes is important, since we all know one size does not fit all.”
